John Gallas is an Aotearoa Poet, presently living in Leicestershire. He is published mostly by Carcanet, as well as by Five Leaves, Indigo Dreams, Cold Hub (NZ), New Walk Editions, SLG Press, Cerasus Publishing and Agraphia Press. He is the poet for St Magnus Festival, Orkney, and the Saxonship Project. He runs a month-by-month poetry website, and his latest book, The Extasie (Carcanet) was a Sunday Times Summer Reading choice. He is a fellow of the English Association, a biker and a tramper.
