Originally from Darlington, Jessica studied Law at Newcastle University, focusing on public international law and human rights. After graduating, Jessica moved to London to work in the charity sector, particularly on projects concerning homelessness and housing. Writing has always been a passion of hers, which she has worked on alongside her charity roles. The lockdowns of 2020 allowed her to focus solely on this, with ‘Postpartum’ being her first published poem. Jessica now lives in Walthamstow, East London, with her partner, Matt, and their one-year-old son, Nico.
