J.L. James studied Creative Arts at university before later training to become a nurse. During the pandemic she rekindled her passion for creative writing and began entering poetry competitions. Since learning to read as a young child she has read daily throughout her life, and finds solace in the power of words. She has dreamed for many years of her writing making it into print and ‘One Strong Day’ is her first published work.
