Alyson Smith is based in Newcastle upon Tyne, and works as a writer and a visual artist. Alyson often considers herself unable to fit into ‘normal’ society due to her diagnosis of bi-polar; however, her poetry has shown her just how reassuringly mundane her life actually is. She is currently in the second year of her MA in Creative Writing with the Open University.
