After being homeless in her teens, Cathy Bryant worked as a life model, shoe-shop assistant, civil servant and childminder. When she became too disabled to work full-time, Cathy started submitting writing. She now has hundreds of pieces published and three poetry collections, and has won over thirty literary awards. Cathy also runs the Comps and Calls website that lists free opportunities for writers. She lives in Salford, UK, with her partner, who is also a writer.
