Stephen Leacock

Stephen P.H. Butler Leacock (1869–1944) was a teacher, writer and one of the best-known humorists in the English-speaking world in the early twentieth century. Although he was a prolific writer, publishing about fifty novels, memoirs and histories in his lifetime, he is largely forgotten today, although his humorous short-story collections Literary Lapses, Nonsense Novels and Frenzied Fiction are still highly thought of.
