Mariyam Karolia is a deaf poet and storyteller from Bradford. Recently selected by the Genesis Foundation as a 2023 Emerging Writer, she has been shortlisted a number of times for poetry and short stories. As a care leaver she is hoping to change the narrative about the care system.
