Heinrich Beindorf

Born and raised in a German coal-mining town, Heinrich studied modern languages and literature in Munich, Toronto and the USSR. After some sturm and drang years involving faraway continents, old vans and stark creative penury, he settled in Cologne, where he has been living and working as an author, translator and court interpreter since 1985. His poems, short stories and crime fiction have appeared in newspapers, poetry mags and anthologies, as well as on radio and the web. Seeing language reduced to verbiage for the purposes of dystopian political, economic and technological gospels makes his veteran wordmonger’s heart ache.
