Chiwenite Onyekwelu is Nigerian, and is light-hearted. His poems have appeared in The Adroit Journal, Chestnut Review, America Magazine, Gutter Magazine, Rough Cut and elsewhere. He was a runner-up for the 2022 Foley Poetry Prize, finalist for the Gregory Djanikian Scholars in Poetry 2022, finalist for the New York Encounter Poetry Contest 2021 and winner of the Jack Grapes Poetry Prize 2020. He serves as Chief Editor at the School of Pharmacy Agulu, where he’s an undergraduate.
